A native of Nashville, she was born to the late Kenneth Wayne Merryman and Rethal Hester Boshers. Ruth was an animal lover, avid reader and enjoyed knitting. More than anything, she cherished her two boys.
She is survived by her sons, Alex Bradford and Josh Russell; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell Merryman and Jennifer Wright; two four-legged companions, Nibbler and Myrlyn, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Minister Denise Gyauch officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 6:30 until 8:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nashville Humane Association, 213 Oceola Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee 37209, or to the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284.
