He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is predeceased by his parents, Horace and Daisey, his wife, Helen Bennett, his daughter, Donna Sherrell, his sister, Emma Harrison, and three brothers, Leamon, Marion and Eugene.
Mr. Pilkinton is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his daughter, Diane Pilkinton-Pihko (Pete); step-son, Michael “Bear” Coble (Kathy); step-daughter, Brenda Ferguson (Ray); 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and two brothers, Shelton and Robert. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He leaves behind an incredible legacy.
Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
