Robert Donald “Don” Hale – Age 80 of Nashville was born February 28, 1934 passed away December 23, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nancy Hale; brothers, T.H. and Frankie Hale; sisters, Jennie Tabb and Gladys Harrison; granddaughter, Jerri Dee Bain.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Hale and Max the Dog for 11 years; son, Jackie (Terri) Hale; daughter, Diane (Jerry) Bain; sisters, Nancy Turner and Willie Mai (Earl) Boshers; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He worked for Genesco of 37 years. Don was a member and former deacon of Bellevue Baptist Church, member of West Nashville Masonic Lodge #612 and Al Menah Shrine Oriental Band.
Visitation will be held from 2-8pm on Sunday, December 28, 2014 with a Masonic Service at 7pm at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Brother Mike Shelton on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 1pm, with visitation from 11am until service time at Bellevue Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be: D.J. Hale, Jon Bain, Phil Garrott, Jody Spears, Bobby and Tommy Bolden. Honorary Pallbearers, Wayne Creasey, Tommy Dodson, Deacons and Fellowship Class of Bellevue Baptist Church, Dave Werner, Don Davis, Mike Bolden and Mark Johnston.
