She was preceded in death by parents Col. James Williams Perkins and Nancy Kimbrough Perkins and husband Theophilus Ira “Flip” Pitts.
Survived by daughters Susan Pitts Dale, Neill Pitts, Ellen Mayo(John), K.K. Rainey(Jack) all of Nashville and Polly Cullen(Charles McConnell) of Port Orange, Florida and brother James W. Perkins Jr.
Grandchildren Brad Mayo(Amy), Mimi Mayo Beaver(Nathaniel), Anna Mayo Jacques (Matthew), Caroline Rainey Edwards(Chris), Perry Dale IV, Bo Rainey(Kate) all of Nashville and Katye Cullen of Port Orange, FL. Great-grandchildren Mailee and Margaret Edwards, Ellie and Emmie Beaver, Sophie Jacques and Perry Dale, V.
Nieces Emily Perkins Zerfoss(Tee), Anne Perkins and nephew Jay Perkins(Mary) all of Nashville.
Nancy Lee attended high schools in Nashville, Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from Ketterlinus High School in St Augustine, FL. She was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.
She was a member of the James Robertson Chapter of the DAR, Colonial Dames of America, the Centennial Club, a life member of Ladies Hermitage Association, James K. Polk Society and Fannie Battle Day home of which she served as President. Nancy Lee loved her role as matriarch of the infamous #Bonnagrannies.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 2, at 10:00 am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be at West End United Methodist Church Tuesday October 2, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm followed by a memorial service at 1:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
