Mildred E. Ray

Mildred E. Ray, age 91, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022. Mildred was born Wednesday, July 15, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Ray is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Mary McKnight Horton; husband, James C. Ray, Sr.; siblings, Maggie, Ada, Carolyn, Jessie, Lucille, Hazel, Frank, Archie and Billy.

A an excellent homemaker that always had dinner ready at 4:30 everyday and in her little spare time made and sold dolls; went to yard sales and flea markets; she is survived by her children, James C. Ray, Jr., Roger Dale Ray, Sherry (Dennis) Willard, Ronald Irvin (Belinda) Ray; grandchildren, Merrill Moore, Ada Moore, Kristopher Ray, Katherine Ray, Angela Ray, Anthony James Willard, Kaila Grissom, Aaron Ray, Zachary Ray and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Shirley Harris for all her kindness and help in their time of need.

A visitation for Mildred will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Eastland Funeral Home, 904 Gallatin Avenue, Nashville, TN 37206.

A celebration of life will occur Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 12:00 PM Eastland Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Willard and Bro. Benjamin Pinkevich officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee 37204.
