Mildred Lewis Henry

Mildred Lewis Henry, Age 98 of Nashville, June 16, 2012. She was the daughter of Louis Vincent Lewis and Pearl Stinson Lewis, and the step-daughter of Frank Newton Brown. She was the wife of William Irvan Henry, owner of Henry Drug and Hardware in Nashville, who died in 1971. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Phyllis White Henry; half brothers, Harold Glenn Brown and Roy Ghurman Brown, and step-brother, Frank Brown, Jr. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and James Coleman of Nashville and New York; her two sons, William Irvan, Jr. of Seattle, WA and John Stephen of New York City; and her half sister, Wilda Brown Crowder of Brentwood, TN. She leaves two grandchildren, Jennifer (Fred) Castillo of Redmond, WA and Christopher (Summer) Henry of Monroe, WA; and a great-grandson Liam Henry. Mrs. Henry will always be remembered for her love of family, her gracious manner, and her genuine interest in others. In recent years, she was able to fill her days reading her books and newspapers, and enjoying visits from family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Health Center at Richland Place for their ongoing interest in providing for our mother's comfort and care. Special gratitude goes to Nichelle Williams for her loving and compassionate care throughout the time of our mother's stay. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 21st at 10 a.m., at Woodlawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ralph Griggs officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice .
