Michael A. Nolan

Mike was preceded in death by his father Francis V. Nolan and his sister Beth Nolan. He is survived by his mother Dollie Nolan; brothers Gene (Laurie), Frank (Jeanne), David (Donna); sisters, Rebecca Kahn, Joan (Mark) Lewis, Janie DeLuca, Angela (Ivey) Woodard, Alice Greene, Amy Herbers and many nieces and nephews.

Mike attended Christ the King School and graduated from Father Ryan High School in 1970. He went on to University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he received his undergraduate degree and graduated UT School of Law and started his practice in Knoxville.

Mike was a determined and dedicated attorney. He saw his law degree as a way to help and uplift a person in need. His support of UT football never ceased and he was a loyal fan. One of Mike's favorite activities was to spend time with his family and friends in both Knoxville and Nashville. He could be found at a football game, at dinner or a hike in the mountains. He kept the road between Nashville and Knoxville well-traveled. He loved people and had unique sense of humor that kept life upbeat. Mike's enthusiasm, sense of humor, quick wit and sensitivity will be missed by many.

Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, July 25 2018 at 11:00 AM at St Luke Catholic Church, 10682 Old Nashville Highway, Smyrna, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday July 24, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home, 201 25th Av North, Nashville, Tennessee and again at church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to Room in the Inn, 705 Drexel Street, Nashville, TN 37203 or Father Ryan High School, 700 Norwood Drive, Nashville, Tn 37204.
