Marion C. Wheeler, a beloved wife, aunt and friend, peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on March 19, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on July 9,1937 in St Louis, Missouri and lived a life guided by faith and love, always ready to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to Christ.
Growing up in St Louis, Missouri, Marion’s earliest memories were living through World War II. She experienced air raids, food rationing, riding street cars, and walking to school. She attended Ferguson High School and graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Missouri. After college, Marion worked for McDonnell Aircraft Company (now known as Boeing Aircraft), where she met her husband, Nathaniel. They both continued to work for Boeing until their respective retirements. In 1999, Nat and Marion moved to Nashville, Tennessee. They were married for forty-six years until Nat passed away from cancer in 2003.
Marion was a devoted follower of Christ, finding joy in serving others and sharing her faith. She was very active in volunteering at St Thomas – West hospital, and her church, Stephens Valley Church. Her joyful spirit and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She loved to read and had many hobbies including travel, cooking, gardening and bridge.
Marion is survived by her sister-in-law, Sally Foster; her nephew, Daniel Foster; and her niece and niece’s husband, Susan and Rick Huggler. In addition, she is lovingly remembered by her friends and church family at Stephens Valley Church and St Paul’s Senior Living Community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel, her brother, Bert Foster, and her parents, Hubert and Gladys Foster.
A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park On April 4 at 10:00 a.m. In addition, a Memorial/Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Stephens Valley Church.

One of her biggest joys in moving to Nashville was finding a church family and a wonderful place to worship.
Psalm119:105: “Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
May her memory be a blessing to us all.
