Marie Adams

L. Marie ADAMS, age 79, of Franklin, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021. L. was born June 20, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late, Carsie and Annie Mai Brewington Craighead. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Henry Adams, Sr.; grandson, Corben Adams; siblings, Floyd Craighead, Alice Anderson, Johnny Craighead, Jr. Craighead and Patricia Holland; daughter-in-law, Kristy Adams.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from four until eight in the evening on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at ten o'clock in the morning on Thursday, October 21, 2021 In Dignity Hall at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.

She is survived by her 2 children, Charles Henry Adams, Jr. and Ann Marie (Michael) Konikoff, her 5 grandchildren, Colten Adams, Natalie Adams, Alexandra Konikoff, Matthew Konikoff, and Andrew Konikoff, and one great-grandson, Charles Colten Adams.

Marie graduated from Central High School in 1962. She obtained a Nursing Technician Certification from St. Thomas Hospital, were she also worked for several years. Marie was a woman of God, she was a member of Crievewood Baptist Church for over 40 years. She served as a Sunday School teacher for kindergarten, a Vacation Bible School caregiver for children, she was a steward for the Bible Study Fellowship.

Marie had a Christlike attitude, her generous and loving spirit made her a good listener and a friend to many. She will always be remembered for her servants heart. Marie loved to cross-stich, she loved to cook, working out with her Christian family, walking and she loved to shop. Marie was everyone's mother, grandmother and friend.
