Maria was born on December 15, 1937, in Manila, Philippines. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the Philippine Women's University after graduating from the School of Pharmacy. Maria exchanged vows with Mabini Pisig who precedes her in death. Maria dedicated 35 years of her life to serving as a pharmacist. Beyond her professional endeavors, Maria had boundless passion for travel. Together with her husband, she explored numerous countries, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Maria is survived by her children: Deanna (Paul) Bracy, Maria (John) Kurtz, Antonio Pisig, and Cecilia (Zane) Hathaway. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Justin (Andrea) Kurtz, Mary Lauren Kurtz, Matthew (Gaby) Bracy, and great-grandchildren: Hazel, Mattox, and Sean Kurtz. She was preceded in death by parents Leon and Remedios Aquino of Nueva Ecija, Philippines.
A memorial service to honor Maria's memory will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Maria's honor, continuing her spirit of generosity and compassion.
