Lois M. Kloke, 97, of Brentwood, TN, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024. Born on July 16, 1927, in Evansville, IN, she graduated from Central High School and went on to lead a remarkable life dedicated to her family and community.
On February 8, 1948, Lois married the love of her life, Donald C. Kloke, Sr., in Evansville. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared countless cherished moments.
Lois was a talented business owner and accounting manager, known for her keen intellect and strong work ethic. Her professional achievements were matched only by her dedication to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone around her.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald C. Kloke, Sr.; her sister, June Swertfeger Bertoncin; and her cherished children, Bobbi Kloke Whitehead and Donald C. Kloke, Jr. She also mourned the loss of her granddaughter, Shannon Whitehead Grantham.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Kloke Zwickel (James) and Janet Kloke Henderson; son, Randall C. Kloke; and a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry her memory in their hearts: grandchildren, Reid Edward Zwickel (Kari); Casey Lee Whitehead (Amy); Alyson Zwickel Piper (Steve); Sarah Nicole Zwickel; Heather Kloke Van Volkenburgh (Jason); Heather Whitehead Walter; David Jonathon Kloke (Brittany); Erica Leah Kloke; and Elliott Austin Kloke. Great-grandchildren, Remi Elizabeth Zwickel; Breana Jayne Whitehead; Kennedy Grace Kloke; Kenzie Hope Kloke; Ryan Lee Piper; Dylan Edward Piper; Jack Edward Zwickel; Max Benjamin Zwickel; Charles Luke Grantham; Jordan Van Volkenburgh; and Jamon Van Volkenburgh; great-great-grandson Jericho Van Volkenburgh; and brother, William Swertfeger.
Lois's life was a testament to love, resilience, and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 at 2:30pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln., Nashville, TN 37204. Visitation will be held prior to the service, guests are invited to join beginning at 12:30pm.
