Linda Harris Spears

Linda was a beloved mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren like no other. Her sweet spirit and love of God and her family were evident in her constant smile, the light in her eyes, and the loving words she spoke. She was loved and adored by her three children and her grandson, Quinn.

Linda was a native of Nashville, TN. She was a graduate of Madison High School and met her husband, Kenneth Spears, in Madison, TN. They lived in Old Hickory and raised their three children together until his death in 1987. She worked at National Life Insurance Company and thirty years at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in Donelson, TN until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed cooking her famous southern meals for her family and gardening her many herbs, and she most especially enjoyed caring for her grandson, Quinn after she retired. She leaves a legacy of love and kindness, and her family will dearly miss her and carry on that legacy.

Linda is survived by her children, Heather Whigham, Jody Spears, and Kenneth “Toby” Spears and her grandchildren, Quinn Whigham, Khloe Spears, Isaiah Spears, and Landon Spears. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Spears, her parents Arthur and Alice Harris and her three siblings.

Visitation at 2 pm and the Graveside Service at 3pm will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
