Lillie Mae Miller confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She grew up with the love of Christ in her heart.
She later married the love of her life, Edward Miller on December 25, 1955 in Pace, Mississippi; of that union five children were born with a bonus of a stepson in Rosedale, Mississippi, Gregory Miller, Rhonda Miller, Angela Miller, Pamelia Miller, Edward D. Miller and Rance M. Jones.
She became a member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church in Rosedale, Mississippi. Her family later relocated to Greenville, Mississippi, where she became a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church where she was in the choir and a Sunday School Teacher. During her life in Greenville she worked at Graflac, Finevine Jean Company and Mansour Clothing Store as a seamstress. After the death of her husband she moved to Long Beach, CA to be with her oldest daughter for 2 years. She then moved to Nashville, TN this was her home for more than 20 year. She joined Eastland Baptist Church in Nashville, TN and was a faithful member until her health failed.
She departed this life at 5:25a.m., Sunday February 12, 2017 in Madison, TN. She is preceded in death her Husband, Edward Miller, Father, Willie Gillespie, Mother, Emma Gillespie, two sons, Gregory Miller, Edward D. Miller, Stepson, Rance M. Jones, granddaughter, Danelle Miller, two brothers Robert Gillespie, Arthur Gillespie, six sisters, Ora D. Howard, Anise Jones, Barbara J. Stewart, Carrieda Veal, Narvie C. Carson and Teola Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Rhonda Miller Roberts and Angela Miller both of Madison, TN, Pamelia (Willie J.) Willis of Missouri City, TX, one brother OZ (Juanita) Gillespie of Nashville, TN, two sisters, Willie Rose Hill of Madison, TN and Mamie L. Gillespie of Milwaukee, WI. Eight grandchildren, Thomasine Miller, Shenita (Lorenzo) Rosario, Charee Miller, Linnell Roberts, Jacoby Miller, Brittany Miller, Leticia Willis, Whitney Willis, Five great-grandchildren, Aaron Miller, Lorenzo (Trey) Rosario, Lazarus Rosario, Jayla Miller and William G. Miller. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Three special friends Lorene Givens, Betty Uhles and Eunice Willis dough they never met face to face, but they would laugh and talk on the phone for Hours.
All of whom will miss her greatly.
