Len Earl Rosser

Len Earl Rosser, resident of Nashville, TN, is predeceased by parents Lendon Pharr Vinson Rosser and Mary Bowen Rosser of McDonough and East Point, Georgia; brother Harold Idus Rosser (Lucille); sisters Frances Hovsepian (Mike) and Mildred Powell Langley(John), and great nephew, Michael Gaenessley.

He will be greatly missed and is survived by his wife of 60 years Laura Mayes Rosser, and four loving daughters: Dawn Harper (Doug); Deborah Rutherford (Martin) (Reverend Thomas Rutherford); Cathy Briggs (Martin); and Amy Kremer (Peter). Grandchildren include Bronwyn Harper, Gillian Harper, Nikki Martin Cook (Hunter), Dustin Martin SrA USAF(Kelley), Joshua Briggs, Samantha Briggs, Christina Kremer, Victoria Kremer, and Thomas Kremer. Great grand children include Alexander Rosser Cook and Lyndzee Martin. 7 nieces and nephews: Patsy Rosser Stamey (Ricky), Robert Rosser (Kathy), Jerry Powell Dewberry, Timothy Powell, Nancy Hovsepian Gaenssley (George), Dan Hovsepian (Kate), Mick Hovsepian (Donna) and great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, graduated from Russell High School, East Point, and received his BBA degree from Georgia State College in Atlanta where he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, Kappa Chapter. He was stationed at Sewart AFB, Smyrna, TN during the entire time of his enlistment in the USAF during the Korean Conflict and later was honorably discharged into the Georgia Air National Guard and served out of Atlanta.

His business career began at the First National Bank in Atlanta, GA, and progressed to his interest in computers. He became a systems analyst instrumental in installing computer systems in banks, hospitals, and manufacturing. In Macon, Georgia, he was Charter President of Data Processing Management Association (DPMA). As a resident of Nashville, TN, since 1971, he re-entered the banking field and was employed by Third National Bank and retired from SunTrust Bank.

As a member of Donelson Rotary Club he became a Paul Harris Fellow and greatly enjoyed participating in 6 club-sponsored Air Shows staged at Sewart AFB in Smyrna, TN. Additionally, he was interested in botany and horticulture and as a Master Gardner and member of the American Hemerocallis Society, Region 10, he was an Exhibition Judge, Instructor, hybridizer and active member of the Middle Tennessee Daylily Society.

During the years he was an active member of the First Baptist Church and Dogwood Hills Baptist Church, East Point, GA; Vineville Baptist Church, Macon, GA; and Woodmont Baptist Church and Forest Hills Baptist Church, Nashville, TN, and was a member of the Good News Sunday School Class.
