Jessie Lavern Neal, 85 years old, passed away June 13, 2015. She went to the Lord in her sleep. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Wayne Neal;her granddaughter, Lori Ann Parrish; and son-in-laws David Lumpkins and Edwin Bowman. She is survived by her daughters, Nelda (Michael) Burns of Donelson, TN and Sharon Bowman of Indiana. Her grandchildren are Robert (Rachelle) Lumpkins; Elizabeth (Imed) Dridi, Kimberly Parrish and John (Kim) Parrish. She leaves13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and their extended families and many other people who became her extended family over the years. She was a kind, gentle soul who believed in the Lord with a childlike faith and loved everyone she knew and never turned anyone away from her door.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12pm Thursday, June 18, 2015 with Bro. Jud Hays officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
