He is preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Maxie Vanderford Turner and son-in-law, Gerald Johnson.
Mr. Turner is survived by his daughters, Vicki Turner Cortes and Sherri Turner Gossard of Murfreesboro, TN; son, James “D.J.” Darrell Turner, Jr (Tina) of Moody, AL; sister, Deborah Pennington of Maben, MS; grandchildren, Ashlea Wernet, James Brian Kent, Anthony Charles Parker, Joshua Michael Parker, James “Jamie” Darrell Turner, III, Christopher Lee Turner, Lindsey Turner, Kayleigh Overton and Michael Shelton; great-grandchildren, Noah Meeks, Peyton Meeks, Lily Grace Wernet, Riley Parker, Cayden Turner, Caleb Turner, Colton Turner, Layla Turner and Kallie Turner.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019 in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday prior to service time from 12:00-2:30pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
