James Stephen Merryman 70, of Gallatin, and formerly of Goodlettsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 and is now at peace after a long illness.
Jim was born on September 29, 1949 in Selma, AL, the son of Aubrey Draper and Bessie Bowers Merryman. He married Susan Merryman, and they spent 45 years together.
Surviving are his sons, James Merryman, II and John (wife, Samantha) Merryman; grandchildren, Isaac and Lilly; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and brother, Wesley Merryman.
A lifelong Commodore fan, he also had a strong work ethic, holding only 2 jobs spanning his career of 46 years in the Nashville trucking industry. He loved spending time at his grandchildren’s baseball, softball, soccer, and swimming tournaments.
