GRIGGS, James McKinley, age 94 of Franklin, TN, formerly of Old Hickory, October 20, 2012 at home. Preceded in death by two wives, Katie (Taylor) and Virgil (Vogel); son, James Don Griggs and six siblings. Survived by two daughters, Gale Turpin Seabury (Charles), Mt. Vernon, AL. and Paula Whitely Martin, Franklin, TN; three grandchildren, Oliver Ray Turpin, III (Cindie), Kelley Turpin Prine (Russell) of AL, Allen Whitely (Susan), Old Hickory, TN; sisters, Thelma Hill and Esther Johnson; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Griggs was a graduate of Austin Peay State University, Veteran of W.W. II, retiree of Dupont and member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. Pallbearers, great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Connor, Kyle Whitely, Ethan and Ben Prine, son of Susan, Aaron Brewington. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Minister Jim Taylor officiating.
