Hugh Chadwell

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, wife Agnes C. Chadwell, son Mike Chadwell, grandson Brandon Elder, and stepson Jerry McCormick.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years; Doris Ann Chadwell, his sons Thomas (Sandra), Robert (Sarah), his daughters Leigh Ann Shacklett and Lynn C. Boone. Grandchildren, Dana (Dusty), Matthew (Lindsay), DW, Daniel (Brittany), Savannah, Caleb, and Trevor. Six great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He served in the United States Navy. He started his dairy career with the old Ezell's Dairy and continued on when it transitioned into Purity Dairies Inc. where he retired as Wholesale Superintendent after 47 years. He won a Distinguished Sales Award in 1985 for Purity in the sales and marketing community.

He loved Vandy football, his horses and cutting his grass. Most of all he loved his family. He will always be our hero, now and forever.

Faithful to our Lord, he attended and was baptized at Lighthouse Baptist Church.

A service will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 7, 2023 with the Funeral Service at 11:30 AM with Pastor John Yancy and Brother Kevin Thomas will be serving as ministers.
