Henry "Hank" L. Franz Jr.

He was born in Albany, NY on November 17, 1935. Hank received his GED while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was married to Anne Margaret Lawrence on December 8, 1956 in Syracuse, NY. Hank had a 20-year career in sales with Carrier Air Conditioning which brought him and his family to Tennessee in 1972. He then dedicated another 20 years to a career in logistics with Branch Motor Express and Roadway Express. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupational Service Medal after reaching the rank of Corporal in the US Marine Corps.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Anne Franz and his 6 children, Mike (Sherry) Franz Sr., Debbie (Dan) Dickie, David (Charli) Franz, Donnie (Carolyn) Franz, Peggy (Kevin) Shrader, and Lisa (Patrick) Waddell; Grandchildren, Nikki (Brandon) Sasser, Victoria (Matthew) Meincke, Michael Franz Jr., Daniel Dickie Jr., Kat (Ryan) Decker, Tabitha Franz Peach, TJ (Mary Katherine) Franz, Kaitlyn Kepple, Ashley (Tim) Kepple-Bergstrom, Lauren Shrader, Olivia Shrader, Austin Waddell; Great-Grandchildren, Nathaniel (Marissa) Reeves, Breannia Peach, Christina Peach, Tyler Sasser, Anna Sasser, Emma Franz, Koda Franz, Harvey Decker and Henley Fann; Great-Great grandchildren Delilah Reeves and Nora Reeves; loving sister Linda Prince of Liverpool, NY; and a houndful of grand-dogs that he loved to spoil. He is preceded in death by his parents Ethel and Henry Franz Sr., sister Roberta Franz, and brothers Carl (Barbara) Franz and Robert (Mary) Franz.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will held Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane Nashville, TN 37204. Family will receive friends and family beginning at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with the Celebration of Hank's Life following at 10:00 AM. Private family burial following the service.
