Helen Kent Turner

Helen Kent Turner, 75, passed away in her Smyrna, TN home February 22, 2015. She is survived by her best friend and companion, James Darrell Turner, children Vicki Turner, James Darrell Turner, Jr. and Sherri Turner. She was a loving Nanny to Ashlea Wernet (Kristian), James Brian Kent, James Darrell Turner III (Jennifer), Christopher Turner (Ericka), Anthony Parker (Krista), Joshua Parker and Lindsey Turner. She will be missed by great grandchildren Noah and Peyton Meeks, Cayden and Caleb Turner, Layla and Colton Turner and Kallie Olsen. Helen was the oldest child of James and Ella Kent of Cullman, AL. Helen was a devoted sister to Ruth Faggard, Mary Kent , Faye Lambert and James Edward Kent. Helen was proud of her nieces and nephews; Jennifer Ramey, Jerome Lambert, Joey Faggard, Kenny Lambert and Brandy Siegrist. One of Helen’s greatest joys was attending family gatherings. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed yard work. Helen loved her pets and never met a dog she didn’t love and that didn’t love her in return. She was devoted to the children who attended her childcare and was loved by many who knew her as Miss Helen and forever remembered as Nanny. Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park located at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at one o'clock in the afternoon.
