We are sad to announce the passing of Duane Tabinski of Nashville, TN. He passed at the age of 53 on June 30, 2023 doing what he loved on a show in Chicago. Duane is survived by his loving wife, Kristin Tabinski, his daughters Ashley Charriere (Ray Charriere), Tiffany Tredway (Brandon Tredway), his sons Dillon Tabinski (Mileena Tabinski) and Brandon Judy as well as nephew Justin Tabinski (Alyssa Tabinski) who was like a son. He will be missed by his 7 beloved grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother Shirley Tabinski and birth mother Janet Munro as well as nine siblings and multiple nieces and nephews.
As a child Duane had a love for music, he learned to play drums at a young age which led to playing in multiple bands. As a young adult in Canada, he started his career in the entertainment industry as a dj/audio engineer for local churches and other establishments. This led him on the path to pursuing his lifelong dream of owning a production company and providing the best sound. There were always many ups and downs along his journey but one thing he stayed true to was always doing the next right thing. His biggest career accomplishment to date was being contracted by Nascar for his invention known as TracPac. We are happy to say he was able to witness the debut of his creation and the joy it brought.
Though Duane's first love was his career his second was his family and those he kept close. Duane was adopted as an infant by Shirley and Michael Tabinski in Winnipeg Manitoba. He grew up alongside his sister Joanne. He started his own family in 1989. He has 3 beautiful Children Ashley, Tiffany and Dillon. And 7 grandchildren Taylor, Bella, Chance, Lilly, Colton, Katara and Kameryyn. One thing Duane never stopped believing in was love. In August 2012 Duane met the love of his life Kristin. After the final approval from all his children the family welcomed Kristin and her son Brandon with open arms, and they were wed in 2015. Together they built a life filled with fun, adventure and lots of love. They may not have been perfect, but they were perfect for each other. In 2017 he was finally able to make contact with his biological mother Janet Munro and welcomed 2 more siblings Jill and Ken into his family. In 2020 he made contact with his biological father's side of the family. Although his father predeceased him his 6 new siblings Jason, Leigh, Scott, Shannon, Kerry and David welcomed him with open arms. If there was one thing Duane believed, blood doesn't make you family. He welcomed everyone into his family circle.
A viewing for Duane will be held on July 29, 2023 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Hermitage Funeral Home located at 535 Shute Lane, Hermitage, TN 37138. A celebration of life will be held that evening from 5pm-8pm at Hotel Preston located at 733 Briley Parkway, Nashville, TN 37217.
