Don Lewis Greene

Don Lewis Greene - Age 83 of Madison, TN passed away on the 21st of June 2014. His wife Betty Greene of 63 years went on before him in 2012, the loving wife, mother, and friend that Don's Lord and Savior picked for him. Don was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for a number of years. He leaves behind two daughters, Diane Hooker and her husband Steve, and Tina Greene. Don has joined his third daughter, Donna Greene, in Heaven. Don also leaves behind three grandchildren, Michael Ragland and his wife Jeannie, Misty Ragland, and Joseph Hicks; one great-grandson, Noah Ragland; and three sisters, Linda Greene, Susan Greene, and Julie Jungman and her husband John. Don was a professional wrestler with the NWA (National Wrestling Association) from 1950 thru 1970. He also worked at the Metro Sheriff's Department; and for many years he was the Director of Security of Corporate Hotels in Nashville. He worked with his dad, Lewis Greene at the family business, Greene Appliance and furniture stores. Don loved people and like to be the comedian at any setting. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. He enjoyed making your day! A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, the 24th of June 2014 at one o'clock in the afternoon with Bro. Fred Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn's Memorial Park. Family and friends to serve as pallbearers. The family will gather with friends for a time of visitation and remembrance from four o'clock until eight o'clock this evening and again one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
