Daniel Ramsey

Daniel “Danny” Watt Ramsey, age 73, passed away on January 10, 2024. He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Adams Ramsey, and brother, Steve Ramsey. He is survived by brothers Tim (Cindy), Billy, and sister-in-law Kathy Ramsey; by his devoted sons, Austin Adams Ramsey (Elizabeth) and Denver Duff Ramsey (Lena); and by his four grandchildren – Jackson, Richmond, Savannah, and Raleigh Ramsey.

Danny was a lifelong Nashvillian. He attended Christ the King School and Father Ryan High School. Many of the people he grew up with in the Belmont neighborhood remained his closest friends for all of his life. Danny loved all things sports and numbers. He was a fan of Vanderbilt, Alabama, the Yankees, Cubs, Raiders and Tennessee Titans.

Danny will be remembered as an incredibly present and supportive father and grandfather. Probably more than anything, he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play ball. You could always catch Danny at the ballpark – it was his happy place.

Visitation was held on Thursday January 18, 2024 from 4-8 PM at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held on Friday January 19, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
