Gail Gilbert, age 73, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 15, 1950, she was the beloved daughter of the late Leon and Margaret Stevenson.
She is preceded in death by her cherished son, Dwayne Lovett.
Gail was a proud graduate of East High School and married Richard Gilbert on March 3, 1990, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Gail was a dedicated member of Whitsitt Chapel Baptist Church and the wife of Pastor Richard Gilbert, embodying a life of deep faith and commitment to Christ.
She is survived by her loving husband, Pastor Richard Gilbert; sons Mike Gilbert and Kevin Gilbert; daughter Jennifer Morphis; grandchildren Austin Lucas, Logan Lucas, Mikey Gilbert, Christian Gilbert, Ashley Maloney, and Cheyanne Stevenson; and great-grandchildren Paxton Lucas and Natalie Maloney.
Gail's warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service at the same location.
