Betty Jo Cook (Nanny), age 82, of Madison, passed away on August 1, 2018. She is survived by her loving daughter, Becky Upchurch (Ronnie), 8 Grandchildren (Angela, Donna, Christy, Jody, Jason, Ronnie, Daniel and Jessica), 17 Great Grandchildren (Joey, Chad, Noah, Ronnie, Jonah, Dylan, Brianna, Paige, Karsey, Ray, Micah, Phillip, Dalton, Kaiden, Malerie, Emma and Elisha), Sister, Audrey Bolton, and Niece, Audrey Dale Key.
She was preceded in death by her son, Hiram Eugene Cook Jr (Debi), Father, Joseph Lamb, Mother, Alma Jane Lamb and Sisters Ruth and Mary Jane.
Nanny was always so full of life... just a big kid at heart. She made us laugh until we cried, and was forever giving us her advise, which we call "Nannyisms". You WOULD do what she said or you would pay dearly ... but we loved her for it.
Nanny, thank you for loving us so much. Your "Nannyisms" will live on for many generations. We love you and will miss you dearly.
