Barry Dawson

DAWSON, Barry F., age 60, went home to be with his Lord September 13, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Faye Dawson; brothers, Ricky and Robert Dawson; and his son, Jeffrey Dawson. Barry is survived by his loving and caring wife of 14 years, Lori Dawson; children, Greg Dawson, Stephen (Serena) Dawson, and James (Emily) Baird; grandchildren, Lane, Brett, Ethan, Jayse Dawson and Ryan Conn; sisters, Anita (Jack) Wheeler, Cheryl (Steven) Chaney; brothers, Allen (Patty) Dawson and Roger (Bobbie Lynn) Dawson ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barry was the owner and operator of B&A Truck Repair for 30 plus years and was the best mechanic around! He also served in the Marines and took pride in doing so. He was a collector of Civil War relics and a huge history buff. Although, Barry accomplished many things in life, he will be remembered mostly for being a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Visitation will be held from three until eight o’clock in the evening on Sunday, the 15th of September, 2013 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 16th of September, in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with visitation held two hours prior to the service. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society.
