DOTY, Barbara Smith – Age 83 of Nashville, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend was born October 19, 1927 in Atlanta, GA and departed this life May 23, 2011. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Clay Doty and husband, O.C. (Tavy) Doty. Survived by son, Allen Doty; daughter, Yvonne Doty Burton; grandchildren, Matt (Nicole) Burton, Daniel (Riley) Burton, Nick and Eric Doty; great-grandchildren, Ella and Eli Burton and Jamie Yates, and many devoted, life-long friends. Barbara was a long time member at Hillsboro Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Walt Leaver officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
