Aaron Wyckoff, age 71, passed away December 24, 2013 from cardiac arrest that developed while he was fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He is preceded in death by his parents William E. Wyckoff and Sarah McAllister Wyckoff. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Diane Footitt Wyckoff, sons David and Mark, daughter-in-law Jennifer Larson, and grandsons William and Andrew.
He was born in Louisville, KY on December 24, 1942. In 1961, he moved to Nashville and attended Vanderbilt University, graduating with a B.A. in 1965 and a J.D. in 1968 from Vanderbilt University School of Law. Other than a brief stay in Virginia Beach, he practiced law in Nashville until his retirement in 2010. He was an Assistant District Attorney, an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and spent many years in private practice.
He served on the Board of Directors of the Green Hills YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of Nashville, and the Nashville Bar Association.
He enjoyed coaching his sons and other children in soccer and baseball for many years, and he was an avid Vanderbilt Baseball fan.
His memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3900 West End Avenue, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 3rd, preceded by visitation with the family at 10 a.m.
