Phyllis Ann Bond, 73 of Nashville, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2018. Phyllis was born on July 26, 1944 and lived in Brown County all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Walter and Mary Ellen (Deckard) Bond.
Phyllis was a 1st initiate in 1975 of the Brown County Chapter of Tri Kappa, holding many office positions in Tri Kappa. She was President for 12 years total, treasurer for 10 years, and secretary for 10 years: a true sign of her dedication to her commitments. She was a member of Bible Study Fellowship Women’s Day Class in Bloomington, IN, and a member of Nashville Christian Church having joined in 1990. She was a bookkeeper for several area businesses. She began her career at Brown County State Park as a teenager, Graves Nursery, Ellis Floral and Brown County Habitat for Humanity.
Phyllis is survived by three brothers and one sister, Joseph Paul (Marilyn) Bond, David Dale (Lucille) Bond, Mary Faith (Jerry)(Bond) Floyd and James F. (Linda) Bond. She is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews and 8 great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Rd. 135 North, Nashville, Indiana 47448. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastors Patrick Glasser and Kendall Yeaton also in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hickory Hill Cemetery (Bond Cemetery) Nashville.
