Carson served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII in the European Theater of Operation. He was self-employed over thirty years as the owner of Roberts Brothers Lumber Company in Nashville. He enjoyed working outdoors. He spent his entire life living in Camp Roberts in Brown County, Indiana.
Carson is survived by his children, Jerel (Rachel) Roberts, Morgantown, Marsha Roberts, Nashville, grandchildren, Matt Roberts, Nashville and Camille Campbell, Zanesville, Ohio, three great grandchildren, Brady, Isaac, and Jada Roberts, and sister, Eva (Roberts) Barriger, Mooresville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Merilyn (Miller) Roberts in 1999 and eleven brothers and sisters.
His Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 21 at 11AM at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home with Gary Link officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery with Military Rites by Brown County Veterans’ Honor Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20 at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM.
