Noreen (Antonopoulos) Kenney

Noreen (Antonopoulos) Kenney, 53, of Nashua, NH passed away peacefully on January 30, 2013 following a 2 ½ year battle against Leukemia. She was born in Nashua on February 23, 1959, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Eliacopoulos) Antonopoulos.

She was a devoted wife and mother, always putting family and friends ahead of her. Her family and friends knew of a woman of many talents including hairstylist, bridal sales consultant, window treatment designer and medical receptionist. Her gifts brought beauty to the world. Hairdressing made others look and feel good, flower gardens made others appreciate nature and sewing made homes look good with drapes and crafts.

Mrs. Kenney enjoyed walking along the beach and collecting shells, gardening, sewing, decorating and sharing many special times together with her cherished friends.

Those who knew her found a role model in life and death. Her courage, strength and dignity will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years; Michael R. Kenney of Nashua, her twins; Christopher M. Kenney of Nashua and Nicole M. Kenney of Durham, NC, her mother and father in law; Richard and Lucille Kenney of Nashua, brother and sister in law; Steven and Michelle Kenney of Nashua, sister in law; Sharon Kenney of Cape Coral, FL and two nieces and a nephew; Tanya Brosor, Sarah Kenney and Alex Kenney.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The incredibly dedicated staff provided much love and support throughout our journey and will never be forgotten.

Visiting hours were held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, February 4, 2013 in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A funeral service was held 11:00am Tuesday, February 5th in St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery, 101 Kinsley St., Nashua.
