Doris C. (Grenier) Brousseau, 92, passed away on May 09, 2023 after a brief period of declining health. Doris was born August 24, 1930 in Pawtucket, RI and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Eva (Bessette) Grenier. Doris grew up in Pawtucket, RI and graduated from Saint John’s Academy in 1947.
She was the beloved wife of Raymond J. Brousseau with whom she shared 71 years of marriage before his passing last year. Together they shared a lifetime of adventures traveling and living in New Mexico, California and ultimately settling in New Hampshire. They happily spent their retirement years enjoying the friendships of many at Westchester Place in Hudson.
Doris was a wonderful mother and homemaker to her three children, loved her family dearly and was best known as Memere to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Doris was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Oscar and Blanche Grenier and her sisters and brothers-in-law Orise and Leo St. Pierre, Rejeanne and Joe Marquis, Estelle and Wilfred Bedard and Theresa and Maurice Robert.
Family members include her two daughters and sons-in-laws, Catherine and Randall Pinsonneault and Diane and John Sirvydas; her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Tracy Brousseau; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Pinsonneault) Sager and her husband Christian, James Pinsonneault and his wife Tara, Michelle (Pinsonneault) Lawlor and her husband Michael, Melissa (Pinsonneault) Schenck and her husband Brian, Raymond Brousseau and Tess Isman, Daniel Brousseau, Samantha (Sirvydas) Whitney and her husband Timothy, and Michael Sirvydas and Morgan Fifield; eight great grandchildren, Theodore and Felicity Sager, Nicholas, Conner and Benjamin Pinsonneault, Emmitt Schenck, Nathan and Andrew Whitney.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
