Alice June M. Hunter of Naples, Florida passed away on February 9, 2017. She was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia on June 25, 1936 to Harold and Celia (Garner) Moon. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, George Hunter; her loving parents and brother, David; and precious niece, Vicki Webb Moulder.
June attended Stone Mountain Elementary and Clarkston High School, graduating in 1954; she was the Salutatorian of her class; received an award for the Best Clerical Student; and was selected by the faculty as the female Most Likely to Succeed.
Two months before graduating, the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta hired her as a Junior Secretary. She advanced in the secretarial field and was moved into a management position. She retired in 1985 as a Manager of the Coca-Cola USA Training Center. Two years later, she and her husband moved to Naples.
June enjoyed reading, movies, television, her piano, cooking and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed dining out, especially brunch every Sunday with her husband. They were a devoted couple and lived their 38 and ½ married years together to the fullest, from picnics on the beach to formal affairs in grand hotels.
She will be remembered as a kind and considerate person who was a true friend.
She is survived by her stepson, Mark (Annie) Hunter; sister, Jeanette (Duane) Webb; nephew, Derek Webb; nieces Marcia (Jody) Cofer, and Shari Shaw; eight great nieces and nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Avenue North on Saturday, February 18th at 3:30p.m.
