She was a cherished grandmother to Ava and Lucy, mother and mother-in-law to Ralph & Anne, and mother to Harry and Mark. Helga's warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.
Helga was born in Brake, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Alma Kramer in Brake, Germany. Later in life, Helga met and married the love or her life and late husband, Miran. Not long after getting married the couple immigrated to Canada where their three children were born, and in a few years, moved further south to raise their family in Naples, Florida.
Helga was known for her love of sewing and quilting which brought joy to her and those around her. Helga's love for her cat, and best buddy, Sam, will also be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
One of Helga's proudest moments was when she became a US Citizen. Her love of country was immense, and she truly understood what it means to live, "the American Dream". As a way to "give back", Helga donated significant time to the Red Cross where, for years, she aided first responders and those in need – including traveling for hurricane relief efforts on the east coast and in New York.
Her family will continue to honor her legacy and cherish the memories they shared. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10 am-12 noon where we will celebrate Helga's remarkable life and the impact she had on all of us.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer’s (https://www.alz.org/) research in Helga’s honor.
