She was born Mary 30, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas the daughter of Ruby and Christopher McGuinnis.
Gloria was a homemaker, interior designer and most of all a champion bridge player. She was a silver life master. In her later days, she traveled the world with her husband, Bill, teaching bridge on cruise liners.
She always had a smile and baked the best cookies for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Gloria is survived by her son, Robert Frakes, daughter, Sheryl Roe-Smith, and son-in-law, Richard Smith; grandchildren, Joel Roe, Samantha Larson, Beau Roe, Barrett Mack, Evan and Kristin Mack, Loren and Anita Mack, David and Christina Frakes, Christopher Frakes, Titus Frakes, Todd and Nora Wallenius . Her precious great-grandchildren, Savana, Alex, Adeline, Paige, Zoe, Sage, Cobain, Carter, Henry, Rishi, Anjali, Madeline, and Kaitlyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, William Weissman.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:00 PM. A reception will follow at Artichokes in Bonita Springs.
