Ronnie Allen Colston

Ronnie Allen Colston (Ron), age 76, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Ronnie was born July 6, 1946 in Tyler, Texas to parents Alton B Colston and Velma Gregory Colston.

Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding with Misty his dog on his gator up and down the roads for hours. He was a big supporter of the foster children of the DO DAT BBQ. He was an avid supporter of Law Enforcement, Fire Departments and First Responders.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Velma Colston; wife of 55 years, Betty Colston; brother, Eugene Colston; mother and father-in-law, Walter and Marie Driggers; numerous other brother and sisters-in-laws.

Those left to cherish his memory include son Brian Colston; sister, Sue Maxfield; daughter, Karen Hensley and husband Kenny; daughter, Tina Sitton and husband Buddy; grandson, Colton Reeves and wife Brice, granddaughter, Shana Arrington and husband Trent; grandkids, Candace, Asa and Nina Dillon; granddaughter, Briley Retch and husband Chris; great-granddaughter, Charlotte; brother-in-law, Benny Driggers; brother-in-law, Ronnie Alford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Colton Reeves, Benny Driggers, Jason Maxfield, Chris Driggers, Larry Nabours, and Terry Tolbert.

A visitation for Ronnie will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965. A funeral service will occur Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Nat Cemetery.
