Myrtle Lillian Powell Behrens

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014, at Cason Monk-Metcalf’s Sunset Chapel (located at 5400 North St. in Nacogdoches, Texas/phone 936-564-7333) with Rev. John Bingham officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Cemetery in Houston at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014.

She was born February 26, 1926, to Alvin and Myrtle Buchanan Powell.

Mrs. Behrens was a Methodist, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Past Mother Advisor of The Rainbow For Girls Chapter 152 Nacogdoches.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Myrtle Powell; her brothers, Alvin Jr. and John Robert; and husbands, M.H. Cordill and Albert B. Behrens.

Her survivors include: sister, Marjorie Hart and husband Charles Hart; step- children, Ralph Behrens and wife Ocine, Joida Heuston, and Tiffany Griffin and husband Wendyl; nieces, Ruby Glover and husband Ray Dean, and Ebeth Crawford; nephews, Robert Powell and wife Susan and Alvin Powell and wife Jennifer; a great nephew, Adam Weaver and his daughter Cheyenne; and a host of relatives and friends.
