Marcus “Mark” Lynn Stubblefield was born January 26, 1960 in Nacogdoches, the son of Jack and Freddie Stubblefield. He passed away on September 3, 2023 having attained the age of 63 years. He lived his life in the community of Chireno. Following a motorcycle accident, Mark had to deal with numerous physical challenges. He worked for George in the woods where they logged trees and he loved to fish. He spent many hours at the Chireno garage and gas station prior to their closing, and was well known in the area.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Jack Houston Stubblefield (12/3/13 to 6/6/20) and Freddie Bell (Williamson) Stubblefield (12/13/17 to 6/21/03). They were married March 28, 1942. And one brother, James Lacy Stubblefield (1/18/43 to 2/17/23).
He is survived by brothers and their wives, George Bell and Inez, Jack Stephen and Rose, and Richard Alan and Ann Stubblefield. Sisters and their husbands, Stacy Ann and Ted Corley and Shelly Ruth and Jay Lackey, as well as one sister-in-law, Billie Stubblefield.
Private graveside services will be held for Mark in the Lower Chireno Cemetery later in the month.
