Mrs. Baxter was born Nov. 5, 1938, in Waco, Texas, as a daughter of the late Pauline (Richmond) and Richard K. Kimball. She was retired from the communications field.
Survivors: her husband, J.B. Baxter; a daughter, Karen Hurley; son, Craig Hurley; granddaughters, Tiffany Schneider and Brittany Schneider; a grandson, James Schneider; sister, Jean Dueitt and husband Roy; niece, Janice Dueitt; a nephew, Travis Dueitt; and sisters-in-law, Novice Barta, Norma Flournoy, and Jolene Conner.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel at 5400 North Street, Nacogdoches, with Chaplain Bob Harbuck officiating.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
