Deborah Jean Scott-Hurst

Deborah was born January 25, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and had been a longtime resident of East Texas. She was a nutritionist and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University.

Her survivors include her son, Justin Hurst and his fiance Courtney Bullard of San Marcos, Texas; her mother, Marjorie Scott of Houston, Texas; and two sisters, Marjorie Bartlett of Houston, Texas, and Patricia Eagar of Maui, Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlon Hurst; her father, Kempner Scott; and her sister, Victoria.

Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas. Interment will follow at Maroney Cemetery, located off Hwy. 7.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
