Charlsie Emanis Marcone, resident at Garrison Nursing Home in Garrison, TX, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 3:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall, First Methodist Church, Garrison TX.
Mrs. Marcone was born April 12, 1920, in the Arcadia Community of Shelby County to J.W. Emanis and Eva Jane Gillespie Emanis. She served in the Coast Guard in the 1940s and married John Marcone in 1947. They settled in Houston, TX, and that is where they welcomed their daughter, Janet. Charlsie loved cooking for crowds and enjoyed entertaining. She also loved dancing and listening to music, especially gospel music. Her love of the outdoors led to her become an avid gardener. Charlsie was very involved in her church and hosted many events at her home for her friends and fellow church members. She was a people-person with a big personality and a big heart. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Houston, TX Granddaughters: Wendimere Simmons and April Simmons Sister: Marie Emanis McCauley of Hemphill, TX Sisters-in-law: Adell Emanis and Nancy Emanis Five great-grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
