Terry Donald Elwell

Terry D. Elwell, born to Mildred (Post) and Colly A. Elwell on June 20, 1953 went to join his friends and family members who have been waiting for him at the “watering hole in the sky” for his eternal break-time on November 5th, 2019.

Terry was a kind hearted soul. He always made sure that if anyone needed anything, they had it, even if it was at his own expense. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies. Though often, more beer drinking got done than hunting. He also loved telling and hearing hunting stories. Even in his last days, his eyes lit up watching videos of various trail cameras. He liked spending time being goofy with his kids and grandkids and always tried to pull one over on them. His sense of humor and lightheartedness will be missed; including his epic “dad jokes”. If anyone had a project, whether it be home improvements or car repairs, he was right there, tearing stuff apart. Luckily for us, he had a lot of “buddies” to step in to put stuff back together.

Left to carry on his legacy and goofy sense of humor are his loving wife of 46 years, Denise; children, Amy Elwell, Lisa (Jeff) Shumaker, and Sara (Bryce) Edgerton; grandchildren Alexandria, Daniel, Lauren, Rachael, Benjamin, and Kyle. Many extended family and friends.

A celebration to honor Terry’s life will be 12 noon, Friday, November 8, 2019 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon.

Visitation will be Friday from 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
