Nancy was born December 30, 1938, the daughter of Merritt and Marguerite Cushman. She was born in Marinette, Wisconsin and spent her early childhood in Milwaukee. The family then moved to Hart, Michigan where she became active in 4H and graduated Hart High School as a member of the class of ‘57. She married Arnold Edick on May 2, 1959 and the two enjoyed 62 years of marriage until his death in 2021. Nancy worked as a Librarian on the Muskegon County Book Mobile for many years, which she regularly referred to as her favorite job. She also worked as a secretary, an office manager, and spent several years at Michigan Plastics in Grand Haven. Even while working, Nancy was a homemaker and the matriarch of the family, focusing on caring for and raising her three busy children. She always enjoyed traveling and was finally able to tour the United States in an RV with her husband Arnie after retirement. Nancy loved storytelling – whether she was listening to someone else or telling a story to others. Most importantly, she was a caring, loving, strong-willed woman who will be deeply missed.
