Della “Granny” Brown, age 97, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. She was born in Muskegon on August 10, 1917 to parents Edward and Grace (Rop) Dykema. Della enjoyed many things like camping, knitting, and crocheting, but most of all, Della loved spending time with her family. Della will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Phyllis (Ron) Oudsema; grandchildren: Douglas Oudsema, Deborah (Paul) DeNio, Dennis Oudsema, Donald Oudsema; seven great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; special family, Jim (Kay) Moulder; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by special friend, Donald Moulder, and her six siblings. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon). The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home, and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
