Debra “Debbie” Ann Hackney, age 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17th, 2021 in Muskegon, Michigan. Debra was born on October 7th, 1953 in Muskegon, Michigan to John and Ruth Zuidema.
Debbie was a graduate of West Ottawa High School. Debbie would then go on to work for Life Savers in Holland Michigan for 22 years. Debbie married Larry Hackney on February 14th, 1997 and the couple spent 23 wonderful years together. Debbie was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association local Chapter N, and a member of the Fruitport Eagles. Debbie loved her family, and her church family, very much. She enjoyed reading and watching the Tigers. She liked to play cards with her close friends, as well as, play bingo.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents John and Ruth Zuidema, parents-in-law Milton and Lillian Hackney, brother-in-law Chuck Hackney, and grandchild Cameron Trask.
Debbie is survived by her husband Larry Hackney, children John and Carrie Munroe, Micheal and Michelle Munroe, Pam and Steve Trask, and Larry and Kim Dean, 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and siblings Sharon and Chuck Myaard, and Char and Dave Warren, brothers and sisters-in-law Richard and Linda Hackney, Nancy Hellman, Dennis Hackney, Steve and Bennie Hackney, and Brian Hackney, as well as, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Visitation will be held at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel on Thursday January 21st, from 12:00pm-1:00pm, with a service to follow.
