Bonnie Jean Kelley, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Muskegon, Michigan on Monday, July 15, 2024. Bonnie was born in Shelby, Michigan. Lived most of her life in Muskegon, Michigan.
She was a woman of strong character, known for her loving heart and tough exterior. Bonnie had a delightful sense of humor and a resilient spirit. Bonnie had a passion for butterflies, birds, and flowers. She was known for her sassy personality and maternal nature, especially cherishing her children and grandchildren. Bonnie enjoyed knitting and coloring with her grandchildren. She loved the thrill of fishing and the excitement of the casino.
Bonnie is survived by her: children; Barbara Rhen, Dianna (Bruce) Hollingsworth, Wayne (Tammy) Anderson, and Brenda Kelley; her grandchildren: Jace (Elisabeth) Rhen, Kenna Rhen, Shelby Rhen, Krista Anderson, Amber (Kyle Mosher) Anderson, Brandon (Breanna) Bennitt, Kyleigh (Michael) Karell, and Kadie Juska; great-grandchildren: Braxton and Brewer Bennitt, Braley, Brynden, and Brayden Ealey; sisters: Mary Fisk, Marge (Mike) VanderMaas, Roberta (Howard) Boeve, Peggy (Joel) Pomeroy, and Mercile Martinsen; brother James House; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law: Verna House, Bobbie House, and Susie House; as well as Auntie Joyce Dykman and Addie Osmer.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Evelyn House, brothers Wilson, Terry, and Edwin House, and several aunts and uncles. Bonnie leaves behind a large extended family and many friends who will dearly miss her.
A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at the VFW Hall 5201 Airline Road, Muskegon, Michigan 49444 on Sunday, July 28th from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Everyone is welcome to wear purple, teal or floral to honor her if they would like.
