Jerry Alexander was born on Tuesday, November 28, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and passed away on Monday, October 28th, 2024 in Murrieta, CA at the age of 79 years. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Helen Alexander, brother Larry Alexander, and son Jeremy Walton Alexander (father of Jeremy Nalli). He is survived by his daughter Selena Ann Meek (spouse Gordon), and his 2 grandsons with whom he shared many fun times while they were growing up: Ryan Joseph Meek (spouse Shelsy) and Kevin Alexander Meek.
As he deserves, he is being recognized today and remembered as time moves forward with honor and respect for serving his country in the US Army where he completed 2 tours of duty during the Vietnam War of which he was so proud. You would see him on more days than not wearing a Vietnam War Veteran baseball cap and would always smile and show appreciation when someone would stop to say, “Thank you for your service.” During most of his adulthood, he remained in Southern California where he held jobs in glass manufacturing and the manufacturing and distribution of health and home care products. He liked to watch football, display collectibles, and tease anyone who would let him.
I felt an angel’s kiss, soft upon my cheek
And oh, without a single word of caring did it speak
I felt an angel oh so close, though one I could not see
I felt an angel near today, sent to comfort me
