Donald Lee “Don” Langford, age 63, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away the evening of Friday, April 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family and covered with the love of his GOD. Don was the son of the late Luther Denton “L. D.” Langford and Alice Faye Roberts Langford. He is survived by his wife of over 15 years, Ophelia Olbon Langford; daughter, Jennifer Lee Langford; son, Dustin Lee Langford; grandchildren, Caleb and Jonah Kitler, Hannah Langford, James Langford, Abel Langford, McKayliegh Langford, Keyonna Hutchins, Drae Hutchins, Jailee Hutchins and Draydon Hutchins; his dog Hank and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Perry Denton Langford and Jim Wayne Gaines.
Services to Celebrate Mr. Langford will be at Seven O’clock the evening of Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Eleven O’clock the morning of Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Will Gregory Cemetery in Pleasant Shade, Tennessee. Friends are cordially invited to visitation Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from Four O’clock till Seven O’clock, when the Celebration begins.
One of Don’s earliest ambitions and accomplishments was to join ROTC and proudly serve his country in the United States Army, where he received the Parachute and Marksmanship Awards. He also faithfully served his community by serving on the Board of New Frontiers and Board of Green House Ministries. In his professional life, he prided himself in being a fair and accountable business leader that loved the Lord. Proving that he accomplished that as well, he received the Leadership Award from Premier and the Safety Award from Boeing and created the Outsource Manufacturing Manual for Leadec.
Most of all, he would want others to know and love Jesus, as he did through his words and deeds. In his own words, “he loved Jesus, his wife, his kids and grandkids” and the laugher and joy they brought to him. He also enjoyed hosting family reunions, woodworking, reading and “playing with cows!” on his farm.
Memorial donations can be made to Allen Jackson Ministries or New Frontiers. In honor of Don, on Wednesday wear something “red” and ring a bell. If you are unable to attend his celebration, we will “Live Stream” it on our Facebook page, Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens-Murfreesboro, TN.
