She was born on Wednesday, December 24, 1958, in Muncie, the daughter of James R. and Carolyn Sue (Royal) Downing and was a lifelong resident of Muncie. Brenda worked in Housekeeping for Ball State University. She enjoyed painting, sewing, quilting, pottery, crafts, and fishing. Brenda especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Brenda is survived by sons, Frankie Chambers, Muncie, and Shawn (wife, Leslie) Chambers, Somerset, Kentucky; grandchildren, Colleen, Marah, Jaden, Shannon, and RaeAnna Chambers; father, James R. Downing, Albany; brother, James R. (wife, Kat) Downing Jr., Parker City; sisters, Gina (husband, Samuel) Williams, Paris, Kentucky, and Sheila Downing, Rutherford, North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and her husband, Frank Chambers.
